During your stay in the “secret capital of beer”, you can look forward to a wide variety of restaurants and pubs as well as a wide range of beers brewed here in the region according to a long tradition.
And since we are also located in the middle of the “Genussregion Oberfranken” (Upper Franconia gourmet region), there is no shortage of culinary delights.
Our Landsknecht package (3 days):
Day 1:
14:00 to 18:00: Arrival and welcome drink
from 19:00: Dinner at the hotel with a variety of specialties “All about the Kulmbach sausage”.
Afterwards, freshly fortified, it’s off to a pub crawl in Kulmbach’s old town.
Day 2:
After a hearty breakfast, you will set off at 10:00 a.m. on a guided tour of the picturesque old town of Kulmbach.
Experience the evidence of the Middle Ages up close and let your tour guide lead you through winding alleyways, past the old town wall, historic towers, Franconian half-timbered houses and magnificent baroque buildings right through Kulmbach’s old town.
Visit the traditional weekly market on Saturdays around the Art Nouveau fountain in front of the historic town hall. Here you should try the famous Kulmbach sausages straight from the grill.
The afternoon is at your leisure.

Immerse yourself in the past with candlelight and medieval music.
You follow in the footsteps of the old days and we serve you a hearty “Landsknecht meal”.

In the chivalrous ambience, you can try the spit roast and meatballs, garnished with local vegetables and salads, without the need for cutlery.
It goes well with dark beer or mead from our original clay pots from that time.
The herald Michael von Möhrenreuth will guide you through the evening and introduce you to the customs and traditions of the Middle Ages.
Be attentive – because you will be tested in: Minnesang, games, singing from texts, competitions, the High Minne, role-playing games, sword fights, crossbow shooting, tapping test, poison test and fertility dance.
